Microsoft Sony Battle
Europe and France finally got a chance to buy the new Sony PS3, but Microsoft wanted to put a sock in there moment. What ever Sony tried to do... Microsoft did it bigger. I mean, some stores were even giving out HD Tv with the purchase of the new Sony PS3. I mean the game war has gotten very intense and thick. I wish they was doing things like that in the USA. I would have been the first in line. Which console do you think is the best value. I feel the Sony PS3 is, but the Microsoft Xbox 360 is not far behind.

HALF PAST AUTUMN
I finally had a chance to sit down and watch the documentary of Gordon Parks. I was blown away on how he had to face so many obstacles throughout his career. He had to face racism in Kansas and the lost of his Parents at the same time. Mr. Parks developed a new style of media. He found ways to communicate with his viewers in a totally different way. He took some pictures in Cuba, and it actually saved a poor starving childs life. He also brought front the hiden racial issue in America to the world. What he captured through the lenses of the camera were amazing. That is how powerful media is...
Gordon Parks
I have always been a huge fan of Gordon Parks. He was the true meaning of Multimedia. He communicated with the world with every form of media. No, matter if it was composing music, photographing the world, or making ground breaking film. Many people don't know that Mr. Parks started out on the passenger trains going from Minneapolis, MN to Seattle, WA. He saw a photographer getting an award and praise for his works. And that is where he wanted to be. He wanted his works to be loved my the masses.

Next generation of the Virtual worlds

I am starting to notice a lot of companies are now jumping on the bandwagon of Warcraft. It is funny to me and it just shows you how much money plays a part in our world. The company Blizzard who makes Warcraft are starting to be pressured by the big publishers for a piece of the pie. I have even noticed how even the NFL is starting to be apart of Second Life and many other media outlets to further make there brand known. I feel the virtual world will still weed out the people who can not keep up with the new 3D technology and keep the fantasy story board alive. We must all continue to be Artist and look ahead and study the trends of our new virtual reality world.
I just found out that Sony has a new 3D world for PS3 gamers.. The guys from Sony says, "It's about community, collaboration and customisation," said Sony's Phil Harrison at the Game Developers Conference, in San Francisco."We want to start a movement called Game 3.0. It's about emerging entertainment, powered by the audience at the centre of the experience." They are trying make this whole new era in Sony seperate from anything else they are doing. It will probably be a lot like Second life, but with Sony's powerful graphic technology.. They will also make it available for PC/MAC computers.

What is a Biomedical Photographer

I have been trying to figure out what is was like to be a Biomedical photographer in a major hospital. I started researching the meaning and job description of a Biomedical Photographer. A biomedical photographer is someone Biomedical photographers, also called medical photographers, work in both health care facilities and research labs. They use cameras, computers, and microscopes to record biological and medical events like as physical changes in patients, changes in lab animals, microscopic slides of germs, surgical procedures, laboratory work, and autopsies. They make photographs, videotapes, and digitized images, and the images they create in a day can range from videotapes of surgical procedures for teaching purposes to digitally-produced brochures that describe the services offered by a hospital department. I feel they are the heroes of the medical industry, because they are the ones who capture the moment of someones life being changed. Their work is displayed throughout the world in every type of field. On yesterday I got a chance to visit children's medical hospital in Dallas, Texas. I realized that someone who has the guts to photograph and videotape the actual event. The life of a Biomedical Photographer is very stressful and rewarding at the same time.

Sound future for music on mobiles
I have been continuing to research the definition of Multimedia, and the new cell phones are becoming apart of this meanining. Mobile phones are the new walkie talkies of today. They not only enable us to take pictures, email, and video tape film shorts.. They are now becoming more involved in day to day meetings and also changing the music industry. I was reading in about how phones are being made with a huge storage device. Apple started the trend with the introduction of the iphone, but the Omnifone is starting to take wind too. I think this a group time to really see how communication will either fade fast or take us to another level of what multimedia really is about.
News: US copyright lobby out-of-touch
Many Artist and filmmakers dream about getting there work on the Hollywood stage, but in this news article about how the US is behind in this field. This is a very disturbing bit of information for me, because I am an Artist trying to make sure my work isn't stolen by thieves.... And now this..
"The International Intellectual Property Alliance, an association that brings together US lobby groups representing the movie, music, software, and publisher industries, last week delivered its annual submission to the US government featuring its views on the inadequacy of intellectual property protection around the world."
The most interesting part about this article is that they single out only a few countries, and don't discuss their own copy writing laws. I have a very deep respect for Artist and I feel they should not be fooled by other people about copy writing laws. We all need to make sure we actually read the newest version of the law and also know the laws of other countries too.
